Whether you live in a studio apartment or a sprawling country estate, there are ways of making your house yours – they’re just not the same across all homes!
Rentals
For homes that you don’t own, you have more limitations than the house you own and have the right to remodel. We won’t spend a lot of time talking about customizing apartments since it’s not what we do, but there are plenty of people who dedicate themselves to that space.
Minor Remodels and Refreshes
Sometimes, all you need to make your home yours is adding a few touches to personalize it. Perhaps when you bought the home, you loved it, but your tastes have changed. Or maybe you just didn’t have the time or money budget to complete it. Whatever your reason, with a new year, it’s a new time!
So, let’s make those updates. Good examples of ways to refresh your home are:
- Changing out the trim
- Adding a fireplace or custom mantle
- Taking down a separating wall
- Finish a basement, laundry room, etc.
